years, Kahn Development Company has developed, managed, and leased
a variety of real estate projects throughout the Southeast. Affiliated
with M. B. Kahn Construction Co., Inc., one of the regions largest
and most respected construction firms, Kahn Development offers
clients invaluable experience in retail, office, industrial and
multi-family development.
Kahn Development Company is based in Columbia, South Carolina,
with regional offices in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Richmond,
Virginia.
The current retail development program includes lifestyle centers,
mixed-use centers, grocery anchored centers, power centers, and
drugstores developed by Kahn Development Company and its regional
offices and affiliates.
Kahn Development Company has created more than 130 shopping centers
anchored by such national names as: Belk, Sears, Dillard's, Rich’s,
Kohl’s Department Stores, Target Discount Stores, Super
Wal-Mart, Lowe's Home Improvements, Home Depot, Publix Supermarkets,
Kroger Supermarkets, Bi-Lo Supermarkets, Lowe's Foods Supermarkets,
Winn-Dixie Supermarkets, and Super Value Stores. The Company has
developed fifty Sears Roebuck facilities, and 26 Walgreen Drug
Stores.
Larger developments include the 1.3 million square foot four department
store anchored Columbia Mall in Columbia, South Carolina and the
1.1 million square foot Shops at the Forum on Olympia Parkway
in San Antonio, Texas.
In addition to retail development, the company has had a long
history of apartment, industrial, and office development having
been responsible for some 1.3 million square feet throughout the
Southeast.
